Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most adored Indian actors. She began her career in the 1980s and came to prominence with her performance in the film Tezaab where she played with famous actor Anil Kapoor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance in the early years of her life. While she was young She began acting but faced difficulties as most films she made were unpopular. Then she found her feet and went on to become one of the top actresses in the Indian industry of film. After her marriage the actress took time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. She was also a crucial role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women within India. Dixit has been nominated fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. The actress was also honored with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Social work by her is very well-known.
