Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana enjoys the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, before beginning her vocal instruction when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early years as a student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved to America in the year 2000, she joined a chorus of United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as performer and teacher, because she is passionate about art and music. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching at the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have the opportunity to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
